Wow! My last entry was almost two months ago... where has the time gone! Two hurricanes later, we're finally getting back into the swing of things. We survived Ike with only minor scratches, thank goodness. My family evacuated to my cousin's place in Walker, Louisiana. They were so generous. When I say 'my family,' I mean, my WHOLE family! Four of my sisters and their families... 3 nieces and their families... my parents... and of course all the dogs! We all amazingly fit, and we were very comfortable thanks to my cousin's hospitality. We all had planned to evacuate on our own, everyone going seperate ways, but she called and the plans quickly changed. Her church even pitched in, fed us several meals, baked us homemade cookies, donated a jillion cases of water... and even shared their Katrina stories with us. Lord knows we can never pay them back, but if the oppurtunity ever arises we will sure try.
So anyway, here's what's been going on since i last posted...
