It's always nice when I get an email from one of my ex-Lamar colleagues, especially when it's someone who worked in IT with me! I hold those IT people close to my heart, because they were there for me during one of the times I needed it most! So I was super happy to get Mike's email and I couldn't wait to see what it said!
If you know Mike, you know he's not about a big show. His email was short and sweet, something along the lines of Hey, I'm getting married in a couple of weeks, backyard wedding, we've done this dance before so we're keeping it simple, I guess I need pictures! He had me at "Hey." :-)
Family and close friends gathered at their home to witness the ceremony. From there the party carried over at their favorite gathering place, one of those kind of places where everybody knows your name! It was nice to be in the midst of all that love and warmness, so much hugging and laughing... I'm so glad I was able to be there.
Mike and Stacy, it was an honor to document the first day of your life together. Thank you for letting me be a part of it!
